About Me

My name is Helen Clarkson and I am a qualified teacher with a maths degree. I am currently working as a maths tutor in a Bedfordshire sixth form college. During my career I have taught maths to every year group from foundation stage to year 13, and I'm particularly interested in teaching students how to revise maths, how to strategically approach a maths exam and how to manage maths anxiety.

The aim of my tutoring sessions is to maximise students' mathematical confidence by boosting their knowledge and self-esteem, so that they can achieve their full potential. I believe my creative, encouraging and empathic approach drives this aim.
